Editing an RCA Action Item

Prerequisites: You must have the 'View File' and 'Edit File' functions enabled for your role.

To edit an action item:

  1. In the Action Items section, select the action item. (Modify, Duplicate, and Delete options appear and the Add button is no longer shown.)
  2. Click Modify. The Action Items dialog shows the details of the item.
  3. Edit the data where necessary.
  4. Choose one of the following:
    1. Save - to save the changes. No notification is sent to the assigned individual.
    2. Send Update - to save the change and send email notification to the assigned individual following the update with a link to the updated action item.
  5. Note: If you are changing the Assigned To individual, you must click Send Update. A new email notification will be sent to the individual with a link to the action item. The individual previously assigned to the action item will no longer be able to access the action item using the link from the email notification sent earlier.
